This super creamy greek yogurt ranch will become your new obsession. At least that’s how it’s been for me. I’ve been using it to dip my carrots and veggies in, drizzle all over my favorite salads and even dip my cauliflower pizza crust in.
Most of the time when I buy yogurt ranch, it’s full of weird additives. This recipe is small batch and homemade with ingredients you can actually pronounce, plus the greek yogurt adds a nice boost of protein. It can be kept in your fridge for up to a week, but trust me it never lasts that long.

- Optional: a little honey to add some sweetness.

I’m assuming the chipotle chili powder should not be in this recipe right? This recipe is exactly like the healthy chipotle ranch dressing.
You are correct! Thanks for pointing that out 🙂
I’ve tried your Chipotle version of this before and I added too much Chipotle! I tried this version just now for my dear hubby. He needs to make some heart-healthier choices and is missing chips and dip. I made this version with apple cider vinegar and he liked it but said it need it a bit more zip. I add in about 1/16 of a teaspoon of chipotle pepper and he gobbled it up with carrots and celery. Score! I am going to make some whole wheat pita today and make them in to chips so he can have the chips with this ranch dip. Thank you. I am such a huge fan of your recipes and have made many, MANY of them and they are always fantastic!
Put me on email list
You bet!
Loved this one! Where are the other 7 recipes? I can’t find the link

I have 2% Greek yogurt on hand, should I just at more water to thin?
If it’s looking pretty thick feel free to add more water and stir it up until it’s the consistency you like 🙂
Your ranch dressing is the best. Next time I’ll get the chipotle pepper to add to the ranch dressing it sound like a winner to me.
Love it!!
Can I sub with coconut milk yogurt? I’m trying to cut dairy?
If the kind you use has a coconut flavor to it I probably wouldn’t recommend it! The sweet combo with the flavors in here might just taste a bit “off,” but if there’s a mild/unflavored kind that you like then feel free to give it a try 🙂
I just made this and it is fabulous!
So happy to hear that!
Personally not a fan of what the apple cider vinegar does to this recipe. 🙁 tastes very sour instead of a nice creamy taste. I’d assume if you stuck with the lemon it would be awesome.
Sorry to hear that, Sarah! It should mix in well and not be very sour with just 1 1/2 teaspoons, but yes do try it with lemon juice next and let me know what you think!
I can’t wait to make this ranch dressing! I’m a very health conscious eater. Lately I’ve been eating lots of raw veggies but using Marie’s ranch dressing as my dip. Not a wise choice. But delicious lol. I’m hoping I’ll like this dressing it’ll definitely be my go to! Thank you 😊
Love veggies + ranch! Let me know how you like this homemade version 🙂
The recipe is a winner! I made it with the cider vinegar substitute for lemon juice and with onion juice instead of onion powder but expect it to be even better without those substitutions!!! Had been looking for a healthy alternative to the usual ranch dressing for my husband. He LOVED it from the first bite onward!
I’m glad those swaps worked out, and that this one’s husband-approved!
This is BLACK MAGIC!! I just made it and it’s SO good!
YES it’s the best! 🙂
Can you share the link for the jar you used?
These jars are similar!
So I made this and it was really bad :(. I must have done something wrong because it tasted hot. I followed everything to a T….is that normal?
Hi Sarah! So strange – there isn’t anything in this dressing that’s spicy or hot. I would double check your ingredients + measurements and also try adding the 1/4 teaspoon of honey next time if you didn’t this time around.
Hi Sara, I don’t think you did anything wrong! Because I just made this and had the same reaction. I believe it was the garlic powder. I had a taste of the finished dip and felt like my tongue was on fire! I think the different brands of garlic powder will vary in intensity. I used an Aldi brand of organic garlic powder. I put in 1/4 cup of mayo thinking that would help “cut” it, but still too strong. So now I’ve added more greek yogurt and it’s better, but everything is a bit off and the garlic is still dominant. I’m going to let it sit for a day and then tweak it. A great basic recipe, but next time I’ll use less garlic 🙂
Interesting! I’ve never experienced this, but good to know about the garlic powder 🙂
Can’t wait to try this!
I love this ranch dressing for salads or dips.
I have been making my own ranch dressing for a while, but they’ve always had a combination of mayonnaise and Greek yogurt. I wanted to find one that would be just yogurt and I just made this. It was so easy and I love the taste. I doubled the recipe, using 2% Fage yogurt. Since I was doubling it, I used half lemon juice and half apple cider vinegar. I was out of dill so I used dried chives. Excellent!
Perfect! So glad you found this recipe!
Super easy and super delicious with all good for you stuff! Can’t wait to try the chipotle ranch😊
Absolutely! If you like this one you’ll love the chipotle ranch 🙂
The way the the recipe is written, it at first tasted like a watery tzatziki sauce. But if you use, instead of 2 tbsp water, use 1 tbsp water and 1 tbsp mayonnaise. This will make this recipe a 5 Star recipe.
Interesting! I’ve found this one to really have that ranch flavor as-is, but this one’s great for customizing to your own taste preferences, too 🙂
This dressing is absolutely AMAZING!! I made it exactly as your recipe said, using lemon juice, I didn’t add the honey. I love ranch dressing so much and am beyond thrilled to have found such a delicious, healthy way to make it!! I made a double batch and I guarantee it will be gone in a week. Thank you so much for sharing!
So glad you love it! It’s one of my all-time favs for dressings and dips 🙂
This was great, thank. you so much for the recipe!
Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed.
Where did you get these cute glass containers for your dressings?!! It’s a MUST HAVE!!!!
I got them ages ago but here are some similar with lids! https://amzn.to/3fI3LWN 🙂
This was SO GOOD! I love that it is also zero points on WW. This is definitely my go to dressing recipe. Thank you!
So happy to hear that!
Hi hun!! I’m excited to try this out as I begin my weightloss journey! Can you tell me what the serving size is. For some reason all I see is a 2, but dont see if it’s a teaspoon or tablespoon. Is it 19 calories per serving? Thanks so much in advance!! 🙂
Hi! Sorry about that – it’s 2 tablespoons 🙂
I’ve been looking for a healthy ranch dressing recipe for a while now. I don’t dig all of the prepackaged dressings that have all sorts of weird chemicals added to them. I just pinned this and can’t wait to try it. Thanks so much for sharing this. 🙂
Perfect! I hope you love this one!
Could this be made with dairy free cashew or almond yogurt?
Yes, try my cashew cream sauce and adjust with some onion powder, dill and garlic! yum.
Great recipe!!!
Glad you enjoyed!!
This was yummy, I added plain Kefir to thin it out. My 11 year old son loved it.
Perfect! Glad you both enjoyed!
Excellent. Used sugar instead of honey and added 1/4 tsp black pepper for a little kick. Easy and yummy.
Perfect! Glad you enjoyed!
I only have vegan vanilla yogurt on hand, would it taste weird if I use it?
I wouldn’t recommend the vanilla as it will likely be too sweet here!
My go to dressing. Make this weekly almost! So good!!
I used higher fat Greek yogurt for a thick dressing, and used the apple cider vinegar option. It was delicious on chicken wraps!
Great idea! Glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
This ranch dressing looks amazing! I grow my own herbs, so how much fresh dill would you recommend? Thank you!!
That’s so cool! I think about a tablespoon of finely chopped dill would be great in here 🙂
So good!
Yay! Glad you’re loving it.
Could I use fresh dill instead of dried?
Absolutely! Just chop it finely 🙂
This was great. Because I can’t do dairy, I used coconut milk yogurt. It is runnier than greek yogurt, so I didn’t add the water. It tasted great, and while it was a few more calories than greek yogurt (I was looking for lower calorie dressings) it still is very reasonable. Thanks!
Oh nice, so glad to hear that worked well in here 🙂
Wow! This is so amazing – all I can say is wow! I can’t wait to add this on top of a quinoa or farro bowl.
This dressing is great! I have to eat dairy free, but it works well with coconut, almond, or oat yogurt as a substitute! Thanks!
Where has this dressing been all my life!!! So tasty. We just ate it drizzled over roast veges and it was sooo good. I only added 1 tablespoon water and added a further teaspoon of lemon juice as I felt it needed a little more tang. Yum!
YAY I’m so glad you loved it!! What a great sauce for roast veggies 🙂
I tried this recipe and followed it to the letter. It was the most vile thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. Sorry.
I’m so sorry you didn’t love it! Would you mind explaining what you didn’t like about it? Any feedback is much appreciated 🙂
I tried to give a 5 star but it wouldn’t highlight it. This is a 5 star ranch. I doubled it and made it using lemon juice. Definitely making again. Love it
Sorry — that happens to people sometimes! Would you mind sharing what internet browser you use? We’re trying to figure out how to fix that glitch!
SO happy you loved the recipe. Thanks for commenting 🙂
Where has this been my whole adult life?! It’s JUST like ranch, but so incredibly healthier and 0 WW points for my husband! Thank you!
Yay!! So glad you found it!
Delicious, simple, super quick and easy. Will have this with our veges tonight, cucu slices and carrot sticks. Yum
Wow this really tastes like ranch! I accidentally reversed the measurements for the onion powder and garlic powder and still tastes great. I actually would keep doing it this way.
Haha glad it tasted great!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🙂
This dressing is DELISH! I have made it with both lemon juice and apple cider vinegar, and I prefer the apple cider vinegar. I also prefer making it with about 1.5 t of honey.
So glad you enjoyed it, Mary!!
This is delicious and easy to make! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed.
This recipe is amazing! My sense of taste has been messed up since getting covid and ranch has had this disgusting rancid after taste. This recipe doesn’t have that! I’m so freaking happy I can enjoy ranch again! I added a bit of black pepper and it’s perfect. Thank you! 🙂
Absolutely! So glad you found this one and are loving it 🙂
I just copied this recipe so have not tried it but I know I will enjoy using it. Have health issues and love ranch but unable to have it and vinegar based dressings get to my teeth. Thank you for this recipe.
Enjoy!
Okay I don’t know how you came up with this but it’s literally amazing!! Made my mouth very happy 😂
LOL thank you! Glad you’re loving this recipe ❤️
Mine tastes like sour cream n onion. Help. Which of the ingredients do I need to add more of?
did you change anything about the recipe or the measurements?
Made this yesterday to have today thought it would be nice to marinade in the fridge for a few hours. Its lovely and fresh, should be ok for 3 days in fridge, if it lasts that long.
Will make again. Thank you
Yay! so glad to hear this recipe turns out great for you!
Thanks! Was exactly what I needed to tie our buffalo chicken rice bowls together. 🥰
Amazing! Glad you found this recipe and it turned out great for you 🙂
That dressing shocked me! It was delicious. I didn’t use honey. It was definitely the bombb, and assuredly my go to.
I am so sorry, but this recipe was terrible. I actually had to scrap the whole batch, because even trying to add some things to it to fix it, I couldn’t remove the sourness of adding lemon juice to the already sour base of yogurt. I ended up just concocting my own recipe, with absolutely no lemon juice and much less dill than is called for her. I would never attempt to make this recipe again.
Sorry to hear that it didn’t turn out! With just 1 1/2 teaspoons of lemon juice and the other herbs and spices it should have the right amount of tang and not be too sour. What brand of yogurt did you use? I’m curious if that could be contributing to the sourness.
This is pretty good! Thanks for the recipe. I added 1/4 tsp of chives on top of the 1/2 tsp of dill. (Honey sank to the bottom and got stuck so probably wouldn’t add honey next time)
Love chives! Glad you enjoyed. If adding a little sweetener just be sure to whisk it well while you add it 🙂
One thing I tried instead of cutting with water to lower viscosity cutting with whole fat weigh from my cottage cheese was a good modification!
I’m glad that worked out well!
