Thank you for the catch! I’ve re-tested and updated this recipe in the past 5 years, which is where the discrepancy likely comes from. The blog post has the full updated make-ahead instructions, where I recommend assembling the dish without bread crumbs, covering and refrigerating it, then baking as directed the next day (rather than to pre-bake it).
